Christmas Giveaway!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

I absolutely love the holiday season! I’m always so excited to decorate the house, bake holiday treats, send out Christmas cards etc. Every Christmas my fiance and I always try to do something to give back to those less fortunate. We usually pick a different charity or program to donate to each Christmas. In the past we’ve enjoyed creating a Christmas shoebox for Operation Christmas Child, purchasing toys for the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau and donating food to the local food bank. This year I wanted to share a bit of holiday cheer with my blog readers but also introduce some great ways that you can give back this holiday season.

Thanks to donations from kind sponsors I’m happy to announce the, Gifts That Give Back Christmas Giveaway! The prize pack is filled with some great holiday gift giving ideas that you can feel good about. It includes:

1 Jar of Famoso Pizzeria Campania tomato sauce

4 Organic Artisan Soaps from Saje Natural Wellness

3 Holiday cards packs (10 in each package) from CNIB (Canadian National Institute For The Blind)

4 Organic body products from Natural Soul Skincare. Including a whipped body butter, original body butter, luxurious body scrub and a lip balm.

For this Christmas I have given back ( not finished yet) by donating 4-5 bags of gently used/ new clothes to the DTES, it feels so great to give back but also cleans the house so I can start the New Year fresh and revived =). I challenged everyone in my family to fill up a garbage bag full of shoes/clothes/ unused toiletries, food etc and We totalled about 10 bags full to donate. =) Definitely felt amazing!

My boys and I gave back by doing a Christmas Shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. I think it’s good to see them giving to others too, instead of just getting presents.

So far this Christmas season I have donated several bags of food to the shelter. I recently learned how to use coupons and I have been able to get some great deals on food to share.

This Christmas I plan to give back by donating unused toys to Toy Mountain. There are so many kids that don’t have a present to unwrap at birthdays and Christmas it’s the least any working adult can do ! Merry Christmas to you

Giving back also means daily acts of kindness and respect for our fellow human beings during this hectic and stressful time of year. I hope we all remember to pay it forward with kindness at home and work and on the road. I plan on giving to the food drive at my office too. Many hungry families in my Town.
